Membership Information

Thank you for reaching out to us in regards to being a member with the Sisters Rodeo. We would like to welcome you to Sisters Rodeo Association, and hope you plan to become an active member. We are the largest rodeo in the West that is produced by volunteers. Therefore, it is always exciting to have new members who are enthusiastic and willing to work hard while having a great time.

Here are a few items we would like you to know:
Our member meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month, beginning in January through August. The meetings start at 5:30pm for social hour, 6pm for dinner and director updates. At these meetings, members are asked to bring a potluck dish of salad, finger food or dessert. The main course and side dishes are provided. A guest may come to one meeting and would need to join the association to attend ongoing meetings.

Since we are a non-profit and depend on our volunteers and members to create “The Biggest Little Show in the World, we expect members to participate at work parties in the spring. Work parties begin around 8:30 am and end around 1 pm on Saturdays. Lunch will be provided, you will go home dirty, happy and have stories to tell.

The rodeo is always the second weekend in June. Please review the committees for the Board of Directors to see what area’s you would be interested in supporting. We will be hosting our new member orientation in February and will contact you once the date is confirmed. The orientation will be held in the rodeo clubhouse which is located on our rodeo grounds next to the arena.

As a FYI, our members do not have free access to the rodeo. Those who work, also pay for their own tickets for the performances. One of many benefits our members receive who are working a performance is being invited to the clubhouse for food and refreshments after that performance. This is a great way to socialize and recap the events from the night.

As a new applicant, we ask you pay a $25 application fee and your first year’s membership of $25 a total of $50. Next January, you will pay the $25 dues for the New Year.
